Luanda, Angola 📍 - the elegant palacio de ferro has an interesting and mysterious history - no record of the building actually exists, and it is believed to have been designed and pre-built in france by gustav #eiffel🗼or one of his associates!  it was shipped from france to madagascar, where it was to be placed, but strong currents forced its path to the coast of #angola, where the portuguese took control of the ship, and erected the palace in #luanda instead. it was used as an art center under portuguese rule, fell into neglect during the angolan civil war, and was recently renovated to make way for a new diamond museum 💎 🇦🇴 ...
