Intro
Another quick escape from work brings me to two more close neighbors for a perfect combination of three vacation elements — fun, sun, and… archaeological ruins! This is Central America’s forte — one is never too far from the other two here.
The prime destination this time is Honduras — packed with plenty of beaches, islands and ruins galore. We chose Roatán as our beach

Copán, Honduras
Since I clearly didn’t learn from being almost stranded on top of a pyramid in Belize last year, here I am on top of a pyramid at the beautiful ruins of Copán in western Honduras. (Really, this pyramid is nowhere near as high or as steep as the one at Lamanai! So maybe I did learn something after all…)
